History
625 - 627 W. Park was built between 1880 and 1890 by George E. Clark. Mr. Clark lived in the 627 side and was a Cashier with N.P. Express Co. The 625 side boarded Anna Nash, a teacher. By 1913 a Cornish gentleman by the name of Joseph Richards resided here. Richards was very active in local fraternal organizations and served as the Silver Bow County Corner from 1895 to 1896 and then became an undertaker. Later Richards is listed as a miner in the Berkeley Mine.
Architecture
This residence with a mansard roof and late-Victorian vernacular is a contributing element to the Butte-Anaconda National Historic Landmark District. It is an example of housing built for, rented and owned by miners, and small businessmen.
